What is irrigation of the uterine cavity. How to properly perform vaginal douching? Irrigation for treatment purposes

In the structure of gynecological pathology in women of reproductive age, the frequency of chronic endometritis, according to various authors [1], ranges from 3 to 73%. Currently, the relevance of the problem of chronic endometritis is acquiring not only medical, but also social significance, since this disease often leads to reproductive dysfunction, causing infertility, unsuccessful attempts at in vitro fertilization, miscarriage, complicated pregnancy and childbirth [2, 3, 7 ].

For successful implantation of the embryo in the uterine mucosa, the thickness of the endometrium must be at least 7 mm. With endometrial hypoplasia, there is a possibility that implantation will occur, but the attachment may be fragile, and such a pregnancy may subsequently cease to develop [8].

Recently, due to the increasing incidence of allergic reactions, dysbacteriosis and the emergence of resistant strains of microorganisms during antibacterial therapy, a search is underway for new treatment methods to avoid these complications [2].

One of these methods in the treatment of patients with various inflammatory diseases of the mucous membranes and skin, satisfying a number of treatment requirements (efficiency, comfort, accessibility, safety), was the method of ultrasonic irrigation (USI), known since the 70s of the last century [2] . We have made changes to the design of the device (MH FOTEK), and developed an intracavitary tip for treating the uterine cavity [5].

Irrigation methods using ultrasound are based on the effect of low-frequency ultrasonic vibrations (up to 50 kHz) on a medicinal solution passing through a hole with a diameter of 2 mm in the working part of the waveguide. In this case, the process of formation of cavities in areas of rarefaction of the medium is carried out - cavitation*, the resulting cavitation cavity is filled with liquid vapors and gases soluble in the sonicated liquid. The lifetime of cavitation bubbles is very short and, under the influence of the advancing compression of the medium, the formed cavities collapse, which is accompanied by sharp hydraulic shocks. During the process of cavitation, electrochemical and photochemical processes occur, free chemical radicals and peroxides are formed [8].

Changes observed in the sounded environment can be caused by both the direct action of ultrasound (cavitation, acoustic flows, alternating movement of particles) and indirect action, i.e. secondary effects (biochemical, thermal, biological and other processes) [5].

Under the influence of the “sound” drug (cavitated solution) obtained during cavitation, macro-cleaning of the tissue surface, elimination of bacteria, viruses and fungi from mucous membranes, micromassage effects, improvement of microcirculation and tissue trophism occur, which leads to a decrease in the activity of the inflammatory process. The bactericidal effect is achieved by small doses of drugs (antibiotics, antiseptics) activated by ultrasound, which reduces the risk of complications and the drug load on the body. Experimentally in a microbiological laboratory, a pronounced effect of isotonic sodium chloride solution activated by low-frequency ultrasound on E. coli , P r o t e us
vulgaris , Ps . aeruginosa , Kl . pneumoniae , St. _ aureus
[3-6].

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the method of treating patients with infertility and endometrial hypoplasia caused by chronic endometritis using irrigation of the walls of the uterine cavity with a “cavitated” medicinal solution.

What is douching and how to do it correctly?

Douching is the process of irrigating the vagina with a special purpose solution for treatment or for preventive purposes. This rinsing method is performed using a syringe or an ordinary syringe without a needle. But you need to know how to carry out this action correctly, otherwise you can cause harm.

There are some diseases for which douching is strictly prohibited.

Washing the vagina should be performed twice a day - in the morning and evening, the course of treatment is approximately three days. The maximum treatment time is ten days. Rinsing usually lasts no more than fifteen minutes, and the liquid should be lukewarm.

The irrigation process is best done in the bathroom, in a lying position. You need to place a basin into which the solution will flow. When the uterus is bent, the best position is to kneel.

First you need to disinfect the syringe or syringe, from which the needle must first be removed. To perform disinfection, you need to dip the syringe in hydrogen peroxide or simply irrigate it with boiling water.

A pre-prepared solution (the approximate amount of solution for one irrigation is about two hundred milliliters) must be drawn into a syringe and lubricated its tip with Vaseline to ensure easy and painless administration. Place the tip of the bulb into the vagina a couple of centimeters and press it little by little so that the liquid begins to inject and slightly contract the vaginal muscles. This must be done with caution so as not to injure the vagina.

After all this, you should lie down for a while. Do not immediately unclench the pear if it is not removed. If you make this mistake, bacteria will get into it. After use, the syringe should be washed thoroughly for further use. Under no circumstances should an enema bulb be used for douching.

In the hospital

If the douching procedure is carried out in a hospital setting, then an Esmarch mug is used, which consists of a container and a tube connected to it with a plastic tip. The container is filled with the required amount of solution. Then the entire system is suspended on a special tripod at a height of ten centimeters from the chair.

The external genitalia are pre-treated; for this purpose, a solution of furatsilin or distilled water is used. The tip is inserted into the vagina to a shallow depth, not exceeding 7 centimeters. The pressure of the stream going into the vagina should be small.

At home, a similar procedure is performed using a syringe, since rarely does anyone have an Esmarch mug, which is very inconvenient to use without outside help. The syringe used for irrigation is relatively small in size, so using it at home is much more convenient.

The syringe consists of a rubber bulb and a plastic tip. The procedure is usually performed in a bathtub, in a lying position with knees bent and relaxed. The entire procedure requires about 250 milliliters of solution.

The conditions are the same. It is necessary to use the product in the correct concentration. The liquid should be at room temperature. If you take a hot solution, you can burn the mucous membrane. A cold solution can trigger the onset of an inflammatory process.

Doctors recommend that when irrigating, lie in an empty bathtub and throw your feet on its sides. In this position of the body, it will be most convenient to insert the douche into the vagina. It is quite possible to carry out the procedure while standing over the toilet, but it is not as convenient as in the bath. In this case, you need to take a more comfortable position, for which you need to bend your legs a little and lean forward a little. In this case, the tip is inserted to a depth not exceeding five centimeters.

Why is douching necessary?

Vaginal douching is indicated in the complex treatment of certain gynecological diseases (primarily inflammatory processes in the vagina). A huge number of decoctions and folk remedies provide excellent results.

This procedure is prescribed by a gynecologist for the following diseases:

  • thrush;
  • nonspecific cervicitis and colpitis;
  • endometritis;
  • salpingo-oophoritis.

A certain number of women try to protect themselves from unwanted pregnancy by douching, but this will not bring results. Such actions will not protect against pregnancy, even if done immediately after the end of sexual intercourse. It is also invalid for protection against STIs.

Douching is a hygienic procedure, but it should not be done unnecessarily so as not to disturb the microflora. If there is no indication for this process, there is no need to do it.

About the method

Radon is a unique chemical element that has a complex effect on the biological tissues of the human body. Scientific research shows that its use improves immunity, has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system, reduces the severity of inflammatory processes and reduces pain. In addition, radon improves the regeneration of damaged tissues, which is actively used for various diseases.

Physiotherapy treatment should not be used as the only method of therapy. It should always be combined with medications, lifestyle changes, etc.

All radon baths are usually divided into two types: natural and artificial. Natural springs with water enriched with radon are located in some resorts, such as Khmelnik, Pyatigorsk, etc. Many women with gynecological problems are sent for spa treatment to these sanatoriums. You can also take baths with radon in medical institutions, where special solutions with a high level of trace elements in the water are created.

Doctors believe that natural sources are superior in effectiveness to their artificial counterparts. Radon is contained in water in small quantities, however, the low content of the trace element in therapeutic baths allows it to have a gentle effect on the body without fear of developing side effects from this procedure.

How can you irrigate your vagina?

At home, you can use decoctions of medicinal herbs (chamomile, St. John's wort, thyme, etc.). To remove fungal infections and renew the normal vaginal environment, vinegar or lemon solutions are used. To do this, add one teaspoon of vinegar (or lemon juice) to 250 milliliters of water.

Drug treatment is done with the following drugs:

  1. Furacilin;
  2. Chlorhexidine;
  3. Epigen.

If they have antibacterial properties, pharmaceutical products kill germs and eliminate inflammation. They inhibit the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms in the vagina and relieve unpleasant symptoms. Irrigation with antiseptic solutions is important in the initial stages of the disease in the case of an additional remedy to the main treatment.

☛ How to do douching

Depending on the goals and objectives, as well as the technical capabilities and desires of the patient, this manipulation can be performed at home or in a medical facility. We will tell you how douching is done in a given situation and how to carry out the procedure correctly in order to get the maximum benefit from it.

1. DOUCHING OF THE VAGINA IN THE CLINIC.

The method of washing the vagina depends on the temperature of the solution. Most often, doctors prescribe cleansing from a plastic syringe with a liquid with a temperature of +34 to +36 °C. In the gynecologist's office, the procedure is carried out using a special Esmarch mug.

The patient is placed on a gynecological chair or couch. In the latter case, a vessel is placed under the hips. The woman should relax, spread her legs and bend them at the knees. The Esmarch mug is placed above the patient's waist, the tip of the hose is inserted into the vagina and the tap is opened. The used liquid flows into a container under the chair.

Sometimes gynecologists prescribe hot douching with a solution (chamomile, sage, furatsilin) with a temperature of +45 to +50 °C. Hot liquid is well absorbed into the tissue of the mucous membrane, but can burn the skin. The procedure is carried out only in a medical clinic or antenatal clinic. They use a special washer or tip - a device that protects the skin of the external genitalia from discomfort due to contact with hot liquid.

2. HOME DOUCHING.

At home, it is easier to use a syringe from a pharmacy. Next, we will tell you how to do douching at home correctly. First, before douching, you must thoroughly wash the plastic tip. To disinfect it, immerse it in boiling water for 1-2 minutes. It is unacceptable to use unboiled water. To prepare the solution, water (settled tap or bottled water) must be boiled and then cooled.

It is most convenient to carry out the procedure while lying in the bathtub, bending your knees and placing them on the edges. The tip of the syringe is inserted into the vagina and moved inward to a depth of 5-8 cm and gradually and smoothly compressed. The solution should seep out slowly and evenly. It is necessary to ensure that the water pressure is not too strong, otherwise the liquid, along with bacteria and fungi, will enter the uterus from the genital tract. When the liquid has completely come out, you should contract the vaginal muscles for a second. After the procedure, you need to lower your legs, relax and lie down for 5-10 minutes.

Another option is douching over the toilet or just over the basin. The woman should spread her legs, bend them at the knees and lean forward slightly. After the procedure, you need to get dressed and lie down for a few minutes.

If the gynecologist has prescribed antimicrobial suppositories or tampons with ointment, they are placed in the vagina after douching is completed.

⚠ Warning! If, to sanitize the vagina, a woman regularly douches, and even uses aggressive liquids (for example, a solution of soda, potassium permanganate, hydrogen peroxide), then over time the state of the normal microflora will be disrupted, the mucous membrane will begin to dry out, microcracks will appear on it, and in severe cases - ulcers. Therefore, therapeutic douching in gynecology is carried out in courses of 5-7 sessions (sometimes up to 10), with a short break between them.

☺ Is douching a virgin allowed?

Is it acceptable to carry out various medical manipulations on the genitals of girls who have not had vaginal sexual contact in the past? The answer to this question can be twofold. To begin with, we note that possible indications for prescribing vaginal sanitation, irrigation and baths, as well as douching in gynecology are various inflammatory processes and infections of the intimate area (vulvitis, vaginitis, bacterial vaginosis, thrush, etc.). And if the patient is sexually active, then there are no problems. In the case of a virgin, everything is not so simple and sometimes even gynecologists are afraid to prescribe intravaginal lavages for fear of damaging the hymen. These concerns are only partly true and are completely excluded if the following conditions are met.

✅ When a virgin can do vaginal douching: ✔ Moral readiness for the procedure itself; ✔ The manipulation is carried out in the clinic by an experienced doctor; ✔ The characteristics of the hymen (the diameter of the hole and its extensibility) allow you to easily insert the tip of the device; ✔ Intimate discharge is caused by pathogenic flora, which is confirmed by test results.

Douching for conception

Among women and practicing gynecologists, there is an opinion that douching with soda promotes conception. This is only partly true and only if a woman cannot become pregnant due to the increased acidity of the vaginal environment. Soda is alkalizing, which increases the chances of sperm survival and subsequent fertilization of the egg. In all other situations, vaginal irrigation and rinsing with soda solution are pointless and even harmful!

Is it possible to douche without a reason?

The answer is definitely no. The vagina itself produces a secretion that independently cleans and removes dead cells. If there is no infection, then there is no need for douching. Daily washing is enough.

You should know that constant douching disrupts the balance of the mucous membrane, which leads to dryness, suppression of natural microflora and impaired vaginal acidity. As a result, this leads to a significant decrease in the concentration of lactobacilli and the development of dysbacteriosis.

Irrigation for treatment purposes

If leucorrhoea is caused by a disease, it has a foul odor, an unusual color and composition, and creates itching, discomfort and irritation, then you should immediately visit a gynecologist. He will send you for tests, the results of which will reveal the problem, and it will become clear how and with what to eliminate it. In this situation, irrigation is carried out with medications that will relieve discomfort.

For example, if you have an STI, antiseptic solutions are prescribed. Only their use is relevant for emergency prevention (for example, after an intimate relationship with a casual partner) and it is not possible to completely prevent the onset of the disease simply with the participation of these solutions.

Infusions and decoctions of medicinal herbs are also known - chamomile, wormwood, calendula and others; they eliminate inflammation and speed up recovery.

Hello, dear readers! If you're planning a pregnancy, your first concern should be how to improve your chances of getting pregnant. Douching with soda for conception is very popular among folk methods. Reviews about this method are positive, let’s consider this method in more detail.

The douching method as a way to prevent and treat diseases of the genitourinary system of women

The use of douching is common in gynecology and urology. The essence of the method is to clean the vagina and restore its natural microflora by irrigating with medicinal solutions. To do this, use a special syringe in the form of a pear or a heating pad with a tube and a tip for syringing:

For douching use:

  • Medicinal pharmaceutical solutions;
  • Infusion of medicinal herbs (sage, chamomile);
  • Baking soda solution.

Douching helps with the following problems:

  • Inflammation of the urinary system;
  • Thrush and candidiasis;
  • Violation of vaginal acidity and weakened local immunity.

How to do douching at home?

You can douche with various herbal infusions, juices or decoctions, solutions of vinegar, soda or dairy products. Each specific disease has its own recipes.

Antibacterial douching

For bacterial infections of the vagina and uterine appendages, it is necessary to douche with the following means.

  1. Baking soda solution. This mixture will reduce itching and eliminate bacteria locally. For the procedure, you need to take a teaspoon of baking soda and half a liter of warm water (temperature 40 C). Dissolve the baking soda thoroughly. Repeat douching 2-3 times a day, after a week you must stop treatment and take a break for at least 1 month.
  2. Hydrogen peroxide solution. This product eliminates bacteria in the vagina and around the vulva. For half a liter of warm water you will need 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide. Douching can be unpleasant (cases of burning are observed), but it is very effective. The patient should be irrigated 3-4 times a day, the course of treatment is 5 days.
  3. Iodine solution. If you have a yeast infection (thrush and similar ailments), douche with a solution consisting of 2 glasses of warm water and 20 drops of alcohol tincture of iodine.
  4. Apple cider vinegar solution. This procedure helps get rid of unpleasant odor, thrush, and fungal infections. To do douching, dissolve 4 tablespoons of natural apple cider vinegar in 500 ml of warm water (temperature 40 C). Carry out the procedure 2-3 times a day (one douching must be done before bedtime).
  5. A solution of boric alcohol and honey. This solution helps with trichomonas colpitis, vaginitis, vaginosis, chlamydia, cervical erosion, thrush, gonorrhea and other ailments. Take 5 tablespoons of boric alcohol and honey, mix thoroughly and dissolve in one liter of warm water. Inject the resulting solution into the vagina and hold it for as long as possible (lie in such a position that the liquid does not flow out of the vagina). Repeat the procedure twice a day until complete recovery.

Healing and soothing douches

If you have erosion or need to restore tissue integrity after an abortion or gynecological surgery, perform wound healing and soothing douching.

  1. Aloe. This is a favorite plant of many healers. With the help of aloe douching, many women were able to get rid of itching, ulcers, erosion, and restore normal vaginal microflora. A fresh leaf at least 2 years old is suitable for manipulation. Squeeze out the juice and mix with warm water in a ratio of 1:10. Douche twice a day, morning and evening.
  2. Chamomile decoction. The safest and most reliable plant that can be used even by pregnant women. Boil a tablespoon of flowers in 2 glasses of water, cool to 40 C, strain and douche.
  3. Natural yogurt. This fermented milk product contains lacto bacteria, beneficial for female microflora. In addition, yogurt soothes irritated mucous membranes of the genital organs. Just pay attention: we are talking about natural (and not store-bought yogurt) without additives. Douche with undiluted product twice daily for 2-3 weeks.
  4. Oak bark. For heavy discharge with an unpleasant odor and thrush, use douching with a decoction of oak bark. Take 2 tablespoons of raw material, combine with a liter of water and boil for 20-25 minutes over low heat under a lid. Irrigate the vagina with a cooled decoction several times a day until the itching goes away.
  5. Cuff grass. Brew 2 tablespoons of dried mantle with 1 liter of boiling water in a thermos and leave overnight. The next day, use the resulting infusion for douching to cure itching, leucorrhoea, cervical erosion and vaginitis.
  6. Herbal collection. A universal remedy for almost all female ailments is a special herbal mixture. To prepare it, take 50 g of lavender flowers, chamomile, calendula, chola herb and slippery elm bark and 100 g each of cudweed grass, lovage grass and raspberry leaves. Brew the resulting mixture in a thermos (2 tablespoons per liter of boiling water) for 5-6 hours and use for vaginal irrigation.

Basics of proper douching

The procedure must be carried out according to the following instructions:

  1. The solution is diluted with warm, clean, non-chlorinated water. Chlorine can cause irritation to mucous membranes.
  2. The treatment period should be no more than 5-7 days, otherwise you can wash out all the microflora.
  3. Douching takes 10-15 minutes.
  4. At the beginning of the disease, manipulations are carried out twice a day, after improvements occur - in the evenings.
  5. The fluid should not be supplied under pressure, otherwise it will penetrate beyond the cervix, causing inflammation.
  6. With the help of an Esmarch mug it is easier to regulate the flow of water. When using a syringe, the container is compressed, and the solution will still flow under pressure.
  7. After each douching, the tip, bulb, and mug are thoroughly rinsed, and before the procedure, the tip is boiled for a couple of minutes.
  8. If the device was originally used for douching, it cannot be used for enemas.
  9. The procedure is carried out slowly and carefully. The tip is inserted carefully, effortlessly, to a depth of about 7 cm. The woman should not feel pain during insertion. Sudden movements can damage the walls of the vagina and bladder.
  10. You need to find a comfortable position (lying in the bathroom, on a toilet seat, lifting the filled mug slightly above your waist).
  11. After the procedure you need to lie down for a while. This will allow the solution to be absorbed.
  12. It is imperative to observe the exact proportions of the components when preparing the solution. This applies to boric acid, soda, and hydrogen peroxide. Decoctions and infusions of medicinal herbs are used fresh, immediately after preparation.

Douching for inflammation

Douching for some inflammatory female diseases is used as an auxiliary treatment method. This procedure is prescribed for cervical erosion, thrush, and cystitis.

Douching with soda solution

Very often, doctors prescribe douching for thrush. Using a baking soda solution is more effective in this case. Baking soda changes the acidic environment to an alkaline one, which helps destroy fungi.

If a woman often experiences inflammation or fungal infections of the vagina, the infection can enter the urinary canal and cause inflammation of the bladder. Douching with soda also helps quite well with cystitis, cleansing the vagina and urinary canal.

Douching with soda is effective for creating a favorable environment for conception. The opinion of doctors on this matter is generally favorable, because a soda solution cannot cause harm if the proportions are correct and contraindications are taken into account.

Douching with soda for conception

The acidic environment of the vagina does not allow sperm to move quickly and easily to their target. Soda neutralizes the acid and opens the way for all sperm.

How to properly make a douching solution?

For 1 liter of water you need to take 0.5 tsp. baking soda

(sodium bicarbonate, sodium bicarbonate, baking soda), using the following precautions:

  1. The water should be boiled and cooled to a slightly warm temperature, about 36-40 degrees.
  2. The syringe must be well disinfected inside and outside (with boiling water and alcohol solution).
  3. Before douching, you need to wash yourself.
  4. Douching should be done in a lying position with knees bent or squatting.
  5. During the period of douching, do not visit open bodies of water, so as not to pick up infections.
  6. During the course of douching, you cannot visit saunas, baths, swim in a hot bath or sunbathe in the sun;
  7. During the douching course, alcohol is prohibited (for both partners).
  8. Do not overdo it, as constant douching with soda can lead to the opposite effect, and the vagina will become an ideal environment for the penetration of all bacteria (there is no natural protective barrier in the form of acid).

A hot environment or drinking alcohol neutralizes the effect of soda, as it disrupts the alkaline environment in the vagina. Before dissolving the soda in warm water, you can extinguish it with boiling water to destroy the crystals.

How to douche with soda to increase the likelihood of conception?

To do this, you need to follow two main rules:

  1. Carry out a course of douching during the ovulation cycle (during the period 11-18 days of the menstrual cycle every day).
  2. Douche 30 minutes before sexual intercourse.

If both partners do not have infectious diseases, the condition of the reproductive organs is in order and the husband’s spermogram is normal, a simple douching with soda during the period of ovulation can be the main salvation on the path to the long-awaited conception.

Contraindications to douching with soda

Is it possible to douche with soda if there is damage to the vaginal mucosa or cervix? Definitely not.

Contraindications for douching with soda:

  • Cervical erosion;
  • Mechanical injuries to the mucous membrane of the internal genital organs;
  • Inflammatory processes of the genital organs;
  • Sexual infections.

You can't douche all the time. At one time, 0.5 liters of soda solution is enough. Overdoing such procedures reduces the local defense mechanism against the penetration of pathogenic microbes. You also need to keep your husband’s genitals clean so as not to introduce bacteria.

There is an opinion that after douching with soda, pregnancy can occur faster, but does not always end happily, this is explained by the fact that an easy path to the egg is open to everyone, even low-quality sperm.

Dear women, you should not rush pregnancy by all means; perhaps your time has not come yet. Consult your gynecologist on all questions and enjoy communication with your husband. You may be able to get pregnant faster than you expected.

Reviews about douching with soda for conception

Here are some reviews about this method from those who did or did not help get pregnant:

Kate:

The gynecologist advised me to douche with soda to speed up conception, I try it and hope that it will help.

Valentina:

I don’t trust this method, since some friends had frozen pregnancies after this. I don't know, maybe it's a coincidence.

Zarina:

I know girls who douched with soda and quickly became pregnant. Now I’m trying it myself, I hope that this really helps and not a coincidence.

In vitro fertilization is currently an affordable procedure that is performed everywhere. In recent years, IVF has even been included in the list of services provided under the compulsory medical insurance policy, so any couple in Russia can undergo the procedure completely free of charge.

Despite the availability of the method, it is quite complex. A positive result is possible only if IVF is carried out by competent doctors and patients are responsible for their preparation. Let's look at what needs to be done to increase the chance of conception with IVF.

Planning any pregnancy (using IVF or naturally) always begins with the lifestyle of the future parents. If a man and woman want pregnancy to occur and the child to be healthy, doctors recommend following the following rules:

  • undergo examination by a gynecologist and urologist, cure all inflammatory, oncological, endocrine and other pathologies;
  • give up bad habits such as alcohol, smoking and drugs, as these substances affect the quality of sperm and eggs and can cause miscarriage or fetal development abnormalities;
  • normalize your weight, lack and excess weight negatively affects the ability to get pregnant, as well as the process of bearing a fetus;
  • give up junk food, eat healthy and balanced;
  • exercise to improve blood circulation in the genitals;
  • Take vitamins as prescribed by your doctor to ensure your baby is well-nourished from the first days after conception.

These simple measures have in some cases helped to conceive a child naturally. The man and woman only had to start planning to undergo the IVF protocol, cure the inflammation and change their lifestyle, while continuing to be sexually active.

Vaginal irrigation with mineral water and hydrocalon therapy in the sanatorium Poltava Crimea

Gynecological irrigation with mineral water
Gynecological irrigation is a sequence of actions aimed at studying the normal activity of the female body, diseases associated with the characteristics of the female body at different periods of a woman’s life.

Indications for gynecological irrigation:

  • inflammatory diseases of the genitals, chronic salpingoophoritis, chronic parametritis, pelvic peritoneal adhesions, chronic endometritis;
  • vaginitis and vulvovaginitis;
  • intrauterine synechiae;
  • deviations of the uterus with limited mobility after suffering from inflammatory diseases, colpitis, erosion, infertility, tubal infertility, uterine infertility, infertility of unexamined origin, menstrual dysfunction, amenorrhea;
  • dysfunctional uterine bleeding during the reproductive period;
  • premenstrual syndrome, pathological menopausal syndrome.
  • acute diseases of the genitals;
  • uterine fibroids more than 8-12 weeks of pregnancy;
  • postoperative condition up to two months;
  • ovarian endometriosis, cervical dysplasia.

The effects of mineral water on the body are diverse and relate to methods of restorative therapy and are characterized by particular softness and strength. Highly mineralized water contains a large number of valuable mineral compounds, macro- and microelements that are necessary for the human body to function normally.

The molecular structure of water has a “memory”, and mineral water, which has a natural structure, is identical to the liquid that should be contained in the cells of a healthy person, therefore such water is biologically active and, when it enters the body, the liquid contained in the tissue cells, accordingly, perceives healthy and healing structure.

The thermal water of the Saki deposit in the Poltava Crimea sanatorium is used for gynecological and thermal irrigation. Bicarbonate-chloride-sodium water is injected directly into the vagina or rectum, exerting mechanical, temperature and chemical effects. Thermal water stimulates the functioning of the reproductive endocrine glands, activates metabolic processes, has a positive effect on redox processes, and also enhances the glucomineral-corticoid function of the adrenal glands.

The gynecological irrigation procedure involves washing the vagina with mineral water. Usually used for one session. Due to its moderate mineralization, Crimean water is ideal for this procedure: it does not irritate the mucous membrane, reduces inflammation, and causes blood flow to the pelvic organs.

Irrigation is indicated for early pathological menopause, inflammatory diseases, anorgasmia, infertility, since the patency of the fallopian tubes is restored, adhesions are eliminated, and healthy vaginal microflora is restored. Thermal water is also used for washing the vagina after peloid therapy (mud tampons). Doctors note that the simultaneous use of mineral water and mud enhances the healing effect.

Hydrocalon therapy is a procedure for cleansing the intestines with a large volume of mineral water supplied under low pressure. Its effect is to wash away fossilized feces, remove parasitic microorganisms, normalize intestinal tone, have a reflex effect on the bile ducts and pancreatic ducts, and relieve inflammation.

The optimal course is 3-4 procedures with an interval of several days. After hydrocalon therapy, your health improves, a feeling of lightness arises, and the function of the gastrointestinal tract is normalized. The procedure is carried out using a modern Hydro Colon L device, does not cause unpleasant or painful sensations, and is completely safe.

Vitamins

Every expectant mother who is worried about the health of her baby sooner or later asks the doctor a question: how to prepare herself for IVF, do you need to take vitamins and which ones? It is recommended to start taking vitamins during the period of preparation for IVF in order to strengthen the mother’s immunity and saturate the body with essential microelements.

Only a doctor should select vitamins before IVF, especially during hormonal therapy. If a woman is already taking dietary supplements of her own free will, she must inform her doctor about this.

The following substances are needed before conception:

  • folic acid, B vitamins;
  • vitamin PP;
  • vitamin E;
  • vitamin A;
  • vitamin D;
  • vitamin C;
  • pantothenic acid.

Usually, doctors in antenatal clinics suggest women take various vitamin complexes, for example, Elevit or Vitrum, Complevit mama. But often, before preparing for IVF, it is enough to start drinking only folic acid 2-3 months in advance, and also eat a balanced diet.

Examples of exercises:

Before starting the exercises, you need to do the usual five-minute warm-up for all joints, bending, jumping. This will help avoid injury during exercise. After training, tired muscles need to be stretched.

Begin classes gradually, with 5 repetitions of each exercise. As soon as a woman easily copes with the task and does not get tired, she needs to start increasing the number of repetitions. All exercises must be performed slowly to feel the muscles working. Remember, the main thing is not the number of repetitions, but the quality of the exercise. It's better to do 5 reps well than 25 haphazardly.

Also, women who want to undergo IVF in the near future are advised to walk more in the fresh air and lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

Survey

If you ask a fertility specialist what needs to be done before IVF, the first thing he will answer is to undergo an examination. At the clinic, patients will be given a large list of tests that must be taken before proceeding with infertility treatment using artificial insemination.

This is necessary in order to detect and cure all diseases that can cause miscarriage or pathologies of fetal development. If there are serious contraindications, doctors may refuse to perform IVF, even for a fee.

How long does it take to prepare for IVF, patients ask. On average, it takes about 2-3 months to complete all tests.

To a woman

To undergo IVF, a woman needs to undergo the following tests:

  • Level of anti-Mullerian hormone in the blood (AMH).
  • The level of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is on the 3rd day of the cycle.
  • Theriotropic hormone level.
  • Prolactin level.
  • Test for syphilis.
  • HIV test.
  • Analysis for viral hepatitis B and C.
  • Smears from the cervix, vagina and urethra.
  • Cytology of the cervix.
  • Testing for chlamydia, mycoplasma, ureplasma, cytomegalovirus, herpes.
  • Test for rubella.
  • General blood analysis.
  • Biochemistry of blood.
  • Coagulogram.
  • Analysis for blood group and Rh factor.
  • General urine analysis.
  • Ultrasound of the pelvis.
  • Laparoscopy to assess tubal patency.
  • Fluorography.
  • Breast ultrasound or mammography (for women over 35 years old).

In addition to taking tests, the woman will need to undergo a consultation with a therapist, geneticist, and endocrinologist. If any chronic diseases have been identified, the woman will have to visit specialized specialists.

To a man

A man must undergo the following tests:

  • Spermogram.
  • Test for syphilis.
  • HIV test.
  • Test for hepatitis B and C.
  • Urethral swab.
  • Analysis for chlamydia, ureplasma, mycoplasma, cytomegalovirus and herpes.

Gynecological irrigation with hydrogen sulfide. Who tried it?

• pelvic peritoneal adhesions;

• vaginitis and vulvovaginitis;

• deviation of the uterus with limited mobility after inflammatory diseases;

• uterine infertility;

• infertility of unspecified origin.

• dysfunctional uterine bleeding during the reproductive period;

• pathological climacteric syndrome.

Contraindications for gynecological diseases

• Acute and exacerbation of chronic diseases (extragenital and genital areas).

• Uterine fibroids more than 8 weeks of pregnancy.

• Moderate to severe cervical dysplasia.

• Post-abortion period (before the first menstruation).

- postoperative period for uterine fibroids, endometriosis, ectopic pregnancy; - acute inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs.

• Ovarian endometriosis (before surgical treatment).

Girls, has anyone tried it, is it effective? There has been a hydrogen sulfide clinic in the city for a long time, I want to try it.

And in general, how to confirm the diagnosis: hr. salpingoophoritis? LCD doctors make this diagnosis after an examination on the chair.

I stayed in a sanatorium. Of course, it helped for the first time, the inflammation went away immediately, and everything else. so far the result is 0. Even though I went through the entire course of treatment. There was irrigation and mud therapy and much more, but...

Oh, it was a long time ago, the same thing happened in a sanatorium in Truskavets. ok, I liked how I felt after the procedures.

And I plan to do such irrigation in Saki or Evpatoria. They say that it is very effective - since the times of the Soviet Union, everyone has been running there in pairs and returning B.

I took a 10-day course in June. I liked it, the ovaries responded at every session, I was finally O. now I hope for // )))

I had irrigation done at a sanatorium, minimal water with iodine, I feel better, there are almost no exacerbations

Before puncture

Many women are interested in how drugs are taken before IVF, how is the puncture of the egg performed? The most important step in preparing for in vitro fertilization is taking medications to stimulate superovulation. A woman may also be prescribed drugs to suppress the production of female sex hormones during a long IVF cycle.

When preparing for artificial insemination in modern clinics, the following groups of drugs are prescribed:

  • GnRH agonists (a-GnRH), for example, Diferelin.
  • GnRH antagonists (anti-GnRH), for example, Cetrotide.
  • Follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone, for example, Menopur.
  • HCG hormone, for example, Profasi.
  • Proginova drug.

To stimulate superovulation, gonadotropin preparations are used, that is, follicle-stimulating and luteinizing hormones. These drugs can cause a complication such as ovarian hyperstimulation, which is accompanied by the accumulation of fluid in the pelvis and poor health. Unpleasant symptoms usually go away quickly after follicle puncture.

Immediately before the puncture, the following recommendations must be followed:

  • A week before the puncture, sexual rest is indicated.
  • You can't drink alcohol.
  • During the period of ovarian stimulation, a protein diet and drinking plenty of water are recommended.
  • Before the puncture, you can eat for the last time at 6 pm; you cannot eat in the morning, since the procedure is carried out under anesthesia.
  • Before the procedure, you need to remove your contact lenses and wash off your makeup.
  • It is advisable to remove the nail polish so that the nail plate is visible.

You must show up strictly at the specified time; you cannot be late, otherwise ovulation will occur and the doctor will not be able to collect the eggs by puncture.

What is cavitated solution?

Using a special apparatus, cavities or microbubbles filled with gas can be created in a liquid. They collide with the wall of the uterus and rupture. The effect of this influence is manifested in the following:

  • cleansing the inner surface of the uterus;
  • mechanical destruction of the bacterial wall;
  • removal of necrotic and purulent plaque;
  • stimulation of tissue trophism;
  • deposition of drugs in the area of the pathological focus.
  • The bubbles consist of more than just the drug. They produce hydrogen peroxide, free oxygen and hydrogen ions, which enhance the antibacterial effect of drugs. The following cavitated solutions are used in gynecology:

    • Chlorhexidine 0.05% - effective against mycobacterium tuberculosis, viruses, candida;
    • Betadine 10% in a ratio of 1:20 with a sterile sodium chloride solution - active against treponema, gardnerella, mycoplasma, trichomonas, viruses and fungi;
    • Furacilin 0.02% - bacteriostatic effect on streptococci, staphylococci, lamblia, trichomonas, E. coli;
    • sodium bicarbonate 3% - weak antiseptic properties;
    • sodium chloride solution 0.9% - helps detoxify, separate pus, fibrin plaque;
    • cavitated solution with dioxidine 0.5% diluted with saline;
    • antibiotics Metronidazole, Ciprofloxacin, diluted with saline, are used depending on the type of infectious agent;
    • immunostimulants and immunomodulators Poludan, Ronoleukin, Imunofan.

    Treatment with ultrasound cavitated solution is used in combination with other therapies. This allows you to increase the effectiveness of therapy for gynecological diseases.

    Indications for irrigation of the uterine cavity with cavitated solution

    Irrigation of the uterine cavity and vagina is carried out in a antenatal clinic and in a hospital. They are prescribed to women in the following conditions:

    • treatment of chronic, often recurrent colpitis, cervicitis, bacterial vaginosis, especially when antibiotic therapy is ineffective;
    • emergency sanitation of the genital tract in preparation for colposcopy, hysteroscopy, abortion;
    • stimulation of wound healing and prevention of inflammation after removal of condylomas, treatment of the cervix, when installing a pessary;
    • treatment of endometritis;
    • preparation for intrauterine operations;
    • treatment of bedsores due to genital prolapse;
    • restoration of the endometrium after abortion or miscarriage;
    • preparation of the endometrium for the IVF procedure.

    The list of indications may be supplemented. Depending on the purpose of therapy, a specific type of solution is used.

    Before replanting

    No special preparation is required for embryo transfer. The procedure is performed without anesthesia on a gynecological chair. It is very important to show up on time on the day of the procedure and take a shower first. You should not use cosmetics and perfumes. An hour before embryo transfer, doctors recommend drinking a glass of water to keep your bladder moderately full.

    If a woman is very worried and worried, she may be recommended psychological preparation before IVF. After the puncture, the woman will have 5 days to collect her thoughts, calm down and tune in to a positive result. A professional psychologist can help with this, who will listen and give useful recommendations.

    Plasmolifting

    Plasmolifting is a fairly new procedure in gynecology, in which the uterus is irrigated with platelet-rich plasma, for which the patient’s own blood is taken.

    Irrigation of the uterus before embryo transfer increases the likelihood of normal embryo implantation and pregnancy, especially when performing a cryo IVF protocol.

    How is intrauterine instillation performed?

    The procedure is carried out on an outpatient basis. Despite its apparent simplicity, it can only be performed by a qualified specialist in a sterile gynecological office. Failure to comply with these two basic conditions is the main reason for the development of complications after the procedure.

    Intrauterine instillation is carried out with preliminary emptying of the bladder. The patient is placed in a gynecological chair; Before starting the procedure, she undergoes a thorough toileting of the genital area to eliminate the risk of infection. Next, a gynecological speculum is inserted into the vagina for visual control of therapeutic manipulations.

    The infusion of the medical solution is carried out with a syringe using a special catheter. It is painlessly injected into the cervical canal, after which the drug is delivered into the uterine cavity. Thanks to its special shape and materials, the catheter does not injure the mucous membrane of organs and does not cause discomfort during insertion. After the manipulations, the doctor removes the speculum and temporarily installs a special vaginal tampon. To prevent the medication from leaking out, the patient is asked to remain in the gynecological chair for some time after the procedure.

    In addition to syringe irrigation, there is a second method of instillation - hysteroscopic. The drug is introduced into the uterine cavity using a hysteroscope - a minimally invasive optical device, which, like a catheter, is inserted through the cervical canal. It allows you to visualize the internal structures of the organ, obtain accurate information about the localization of the pathological focus and the degree of its severity. The doctor carries out all therapeutic manipulations under precise visual control.

    Preparing for IVF (Video)

    This is not an independent disease, but a consequence of various disorders in the body of the wife, husband, or both spouses at the same time.

    Scientists have found that in 30% of cases, an infertile marriage depends on the husband, in 60% on the wife, and in 10% is caused by various disorders in the body of both.

    Infertility is the inability to conceive and have offspring. It is also defined in specific conditions as the inability to conceive a child within one year of regular sexual activity without contraception.

    Miscarriage is also interpreted as infertility.

    A distinction is made between primary infertility, if in the first two years of married life and subsequently the woman never became pregnant, and secondary infertility, if it was determined after one or more pregnancies.

    They also distinguish between absolute infertility, when the body has irreversible pathological changes that prevent conception (absence of the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, testicles in men) and relative, in which the causes of infertility can be eliminated.

    Female infertility is a severe psychological trauma for both men and women.

    To produce full-fledged sperm, in addition to proper nutrition and giving up bad habits, pendulum movements of the testicles and preventing their overheating are necessary. Thus, a man should wear wide shorts and trousers, and not tight swimming trunks and jeans, at least for the period of pregnancy planning, and refuse saunas and baths for this period. The more often a man has sexual intercourse, the more sperm are produced for the next one. But in order to conceive, sexual activity is needed no more than once a day during a woman’s fertile period (more often before and after it). If the spermogram indicators slightly deviate from the norm, it is recommended to abstain for 2-4 days before the woman ovulates, but not longer (with longer abstinence, sperm indicators worsen).

    The influence of age on a woman's ability to become pregnant:

    About one third of couples in which the woman is over 35 years old have problems having a child.

    More and more women are giving birth after 30 years of age. About 20 percent of women in the United States now have their first child after age 35.

    Aging of the body reduces a woman’s chances of having a child, the reasons for this are:

    • A woman's egg health declines as she ages.
    • The ability of a woman’s ovaries to mature eggs ready for fertilization decreases with age.
    • As a woman ages, health problems accumulate that can prevent pregnancy. With age, the risk of miscarriage increases.

    Diagnosis and treatment of infertility

    Finding the cause of infertility is often a long, complex and emotionally intense process. It may take months to complete all the tests and necessary examinations. So don't be alarmed if the problem isn't found right away.

    Treatment methods used for female infertility are aimed at:

    1. Restoring the patient’s reproductive function using conservative or surgical methods.
    2. The use of assisted reproductive technologies in cases where natural conception is impossible.

    First, doctors can check whether a woman is ovulating by doing a blood test and an ultrasound scan of the ovaries. If there is ovulation, but fertilization does not occur, additional examination is needed.

    In the diagnosis of infertility, hormonal tests are widely used, which make it possible to more accurately determine the state of individual parts of the reproductive apparatus and their reaction to taking a particular hormone.

    To diagnose immune forms of infertility, the content of antisperm antibodies (specific antibodies to sperm - SAT) in the patient’s blood plasma and cervical mucus is determined.

    Patients with infertility caused by intrauterine adhesions or adhesive obstruction of the tubes are advised to undergo examination for tuberculosis (lung x-ray, tuberculin tests, hysterosalpingoscopy, endometrial examination).

    The complex of diagnostic measures for infertility necessarily includes colposcopy to identify signs of erosion, endocervicitis and cervicitis, which are a manifestation of a chronic infectious process.

    Using hysterosalpingography (x-rays of the uterus and fallopian tubes), anomalies and tumors of the uterus, intrauterine adhesions, endometriosis, tubal obstruction, and adhesions are detected, which are often the causes of infertility. In this procedure, doctors use X-rays to check for physical problems in the uterus and fallopian tubes. The examination begins by injecting a special dye through the vagina into the uterus. This dye will be visible on an x-ray. This allows the doctor to see if the dye passes normally through the uterus and into the fallopian tubes. This way, doctors can find obstacles that may be causing infertility. Adhesions and narrowings of the tubes can prevent an egg from leaving the fallopian tubes into the uterus and can also prevent sperm from reaching the egg.

    Surgical methods for diagnosing infertility include hysteroscopy and laparoscopy.

    Hysteroscopy

    is an endoscopic examination of the uterine cavity using an optical hysteroscope inserted through the external uterine pharynx. In accordance with the recommendations of the WHO - World Health Organization, modern gynecology has introduced hysteroscopy into the mandatory diagnostic standard for patients with uterine infertility.

    Laparoscopy:

    During surgery, doctors use an instrument called a laparoscope to see what is happening inside the abdomen. The doctor makes a small incision in the lower abdomen and inserts a laparoscope. Doctors check the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and uterus for disease and physical problems. Doctors typically use laparoscopy to find scars and endometriosis. The undeniable advantages of laparoscopy are the bloodlessness of the operation, the absence of severe pain and rough sutures in the postoperative period, and the minimal risk of developing adhesions postoperatively. Typically, 2-3 days after laparoscopy, the patient is discharged from the hospital.

    Surgical endoscopic methods are low-traumatic, but highly effective both in diagnosing infertility and in its treatment, and therefore are widely used for examining women of reproductive age.

    Salpingolysis

    If there are adhesions that tighten the tube and thereby close its lumen, a salpingolysis operation is performed.

    The operation of salpingolysis is, as a rule, auxiliary and can be effective only in cases where the patency of the fallopian tubes is caused by external adhesions that tighten the tubes and thereby close their lumen.

    Salpingostomy

    The purpose of the operation is to restore patency in the area of the ampulla of the fallopian tube.

    During this operation, the side wall of the fallopian tube near the ovary is opened and its mucous membrane is sutured to the serosa. Some surgeons sew an ovary into this hole, a significant surface of which turns out to be facing the lumen of the fallopian tube. This creates favorable conditions for the egg to enter the tube cavity and further into the uterine cavity.

    Implantation of the fallopian tube into the uterus

    If the uterine part of the tube or its isthmus is obstructed, the healthy part of the tube can be transplanted (implanted) into the horn of the uterus. If there are no fallopian tubes, an ovary can be transplanted into the uterus. Assisted reproductive technology procedures sometimes involve the use of donor eggs (from another woman), donor sperm, or previously frozen embryos. Donor eggs are sometimes used for women who cannot produce eggs themselves. Additionally, donor eggs or donor sperm are sometimes used when a woman or man has a genetic condition that could be passed on to a child.

    Treatment of undiagnosed forms of infertility is the most difficult problem. Most often in these cases they resort to the use of assisted reproductive technologies.

    In addition, indications for artificial insemination are:

    • tubal obstruction or absence of fallopian tubes; condition after conservative therapy and therapeutic laparoscopy for endometriosis;
    • unsuccessful treatment of endocrine infertility;
    • absolute male infertility;
    • depletion of ovarian function;
    • some cases of uterine infertility;
    • concomitant pathology in which pregnancy is impossible.

    The main methods of artificial insemination are:

    • method of intrauterine insemination with donor sperm or husband's sperm (IISD, IISM); in vitro fertilization (IVF) method;
    • intracellular injection of sperm into the egg (ICSI method);
    • surrogacy.

    What are the dangers of treating infertility with folk remedies?

    Infertility is only a symptom, so it is imperative to find out the reason why you cannot get pregnant before starting treatment. The use of folk remedies for infertility can aggravate the situation, for example, the use of sage for endometriosis or progesterone deficiency will only cause a relapse of the disease and will not help in any way to get pregnant. The use of sage in phase 2 of the menstrual cycle is generally contraindicated for women and can cause disruptions in menstrual cycles. The uterus can cause abnormal uterine bleeding and liver problems, which will also negatively affect your ability to get pregnant.

    Treatment with folk remedies without first consulting a doctor is dangerous.

    Before using any folk recipes, you need to know your exact diagnosis and take into account the contraindications of the folk remedies used.

    A good folk remedy for infertility is to recommend a healthy diet and give up bad habits.

    The effectiveness of infertility treatment is affected by the age of both spouses, especially the woman (the likelihood of pregnancy decreases sharply after 37 years). Therefore, infertility treatment should be started as early as possible. Many forms of infertility can be corrected using traditional or alternative treatment methods.

    And once again about nerves and stress, this is very important if you want to get pregnant quickly. Create a positive attitude (meditation, auto-training, yoga will help). And you should never despair and lose hope!

    What are the advantages of this method

    Drip administration of medication into the organ cavity has a number of undeniable advantages over other therapeutic methods. The procedure allows the drug to be delivered directly to the pathological area and act locally. Side effects of medications on the gastrointestinal tract, nervous, immune and other systems are absent or minimized, which allows increasing the concentrations of the active ingredients of the drugs. All these factors provide a more pronounced clinical effect - rapid elimination of infections, relief of inflammation and elimination of other pathologies occurring in the uterine cavity.
