For heavy and moderate discharge, infusions of ethamsylate in saline solution are prescribed once or twice a day. This allows, in addition to stopping bleeding, to replenish the volume of the lost liquid part of the blood. Additionally, intramuscular injections or pills are prescribed. The solution from the ampoules can be used as lotions or tampons on the area of diffuse bleeding.
Composition and description of the drug Dicinon
As already mentioned, the main active ingredient in any form of release of the drug is ethamsylate. In tablets and injections, its amount is 250 mg.
The remaining components of tableted Dicynone are auxiliary:
- corn starch;
- lactose;
- lemon acid;
- magnesium stearate;
- Povidone K25.
The tablets are biconvex, white, with a breaking line. Packed in a blister of 10 units.
The solution for intramuscular and intravenous administration in its composition (except for the active substance) has the following additional components:
- sodium disulfide;
- sodium bicarbonate (to adjust pH levels);
