Folk remedies for the treatment of cervical erosion: are they effective and what are the risks when using them?

Sea buckthorn oil: a recipe for stimulating regeneration

Sea buckthorn oil is a folk remedy unique in composition and properties.
Sea buckthorn oil can be used to treat cervical erosion. It stimulates restoration processes in the tissues of the cervix, promotes healing (epithelialization) of erosive formations. In addition, sea buckthorn oil has anti-inflammatory activity.

How to treat cervical erosion with sea buckthorn oil? Sea buckthorn oil is easy to use at home. The course of treatment with this remedy lasts 2 months, 14 days each, starting from the first day after the cessation of menstrual bleeding.

Every evening before going to bed, you need to soak a tampon in sea buckthorn oil and place it in the vagina, and remove it in the morning. There is no need to douche after the procedures.

Sea buckthorn oil should be used to treat erosion only after this recipe has been approved by the attending physician. This folk method for correcting cervical pathologies is effective, safe and affordable, but the advisability of its use must still be determined by a specialist.

Burdock juice for erosion

1 teaspoon of burdock juice is mixed with honey and sea buckthorn oil. A tampon is soaked in the resulting mixture and inserted into the vagina overnight.

Burdock leaf juice will also help with erosion. It must be filtered through gauze and used for douching twice a day. The course of treatment is two weeks and is carried out three times. In most cases, erosion goes away after the second course.

Propolis and other bee products

This is what propolis looks like.
Treatment of cervical erosion with folk remedies can be carried out using propolis. For this, an aqueous infusion of this beekeeping product is often used, but there are other recipes. The products have an anti-inflammatory effect and enhance regeneration processes.

Tampons are moistened with an aqueous infusion, propolis ointment, or a 30% alcohol solution of propolis and placed in the vagina for 10-12 hours. You should consult your doctor about the duration of the course of using such drugs.

The benefits of honey are a fact that cannot be doubted.

It is also possible to treat cervical erosion with honey. It is also used in the form of tampons. Duration of use – up to 2 weeks. Thanks to the use of honey, rapid epithelization of damaged cervical tissue is achieved.

Calendula

Calendula is increasingly becoming an assistant in medical science in the treatment of erosion with folk remedies. It has been known since ancient times for its antibacterial and healing properties. During such an illness, you can try using a tincture of prepared calendula.

To 20-30 grams of calendula flowers you need to add a hundred gram glass of vodka and leave it to stand for no more than three to four days.

Afterwards, one small spoon of this medicine should be mixed with 250 ml of clean, boiled water. Use this solution for douching.

Calendula oil actively helps cure erosion using traditional methods. Take 20-30 grams of ground calendula flowers and mix with one glass of vegetable oil.

We keep this mixture for at least 10 days. At the end of the infusion, the mass is filtered, the bandage roller is impregnated and used vaginally for 5-6 days.

Medicinal plants in the treatment of erosive changes in the cervix

Plant materials can be grown and collected independently
. Herbs can be used to treat erosion, but with caution - plants can provoke hypersensitivity reactions. The most effective herbs and formulations are discussed below:

  • Calendula (marigold). This plant has a powerful anti-inflammatory effect and is used to treat many diseases. Treatment of cervical erosion at home with calendula involves the use of a decoction or alcohol tincture of the raw material.

It is also recommended to combine the use of calendula with chamomile and yarrow - in this case, prepare a mixture of equal parts of these plants, pour two tablespoons with a glass of boiling water, leave for two hours, and then use it for the douching procedure.

  • Badan. To prepare a healing decoction based on bergenia, you need to pour three tablespoons of the plant root with a glass of hot water and boil until half of the liquid part has evaporated. Then add another 1.5 cups of boiled water to the broth. The product is also used for douching procedures.
  • Borovaya uterus. The plant has antiseptic, immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects. A decoction of boron uterus is prepared in this way: a tablespoon of plant material is added with a glass of water, boiled, filtered, and allowed to cool. The resulting product is used for wetting tampons, as well as for douching procedures.
  • Calamus root. To prepare a healing decoction, add a tablespoon of raw material with a glass of water, boil for 5 minutes, and leave to cool. The solution prepared in the morning should be used in the evening of the same day for douching. Using the decoction may cause a slight burning sensation.
  • Chamomile. Chamomile decoction is prepared as follows: 2 tablespoons of plant material are poured with a liter of boiling water and heated in a water bath for 20 minutes. Then the solution is cooled and used for douching.

Cryodestruction is a modern method of treating cervical diseases

Celandine

Celandine is a plant that has bactericidal properties. But still, it is necessary to use celandine for medical purposes with extreme caution, due to the fact that it contains a large number of alkaloids that are dangerous and possibly toxic to humans.

Celandine should not be used by patients with epilepsy, those who suffer from bronchial asthma or angina pectoris.

However, there is a good remedy from celandine to destroy cervical erosion. We take 4-5 large spoons of celandine herb, fill it with one liter of boiled water and leave it to infuse in this form.

Mix 20 ml of the resulting tincture with one liter of boiled warm water. We apply this solution by douching in the evenings for a month.

Aloe - as a method of treatment

Aloe juice includes a wide range of useful components.
Aloe has long earned its reputation as a universal “healer”. When correcting erosion, the pulp of this plant can be used to prepare tampons. This will speed up and make restoration processes in the tissues of the cervix more complete.

Thus, medicinal plants in the treatment of erosive changes in the cervical canal are mainly used to prepare compositions used for douching and wetting tampons.

It is the local effect on the epithelial lining of the cervix that allows you to reduce the intensity of the inflammatory process, start and accelerate regeneration processes.

In addition, douching allows you to get rid of pathogens in some way, “washing” them from the surface of the cervix. In general, herbal treatment is considered a fairly effective auxiliary method of erosion therapy.

How is the procedure of douching with herbal decoctions carried out?

Syringe for manipulation
This procedure can be performed while lying in the bath or standing using a syringe bulb. If douching is done while lying down, then you need to sit in the bathroom, spread your legs and place them on its edges.

Then you should insert the tip of the bulb into the vagina and slowly press the syringe to release the medicinal solution into the cervical canal. The procedure is also carried out in a standing position over the toilet, however, in this case, care must be taken not to damage the urethra.

Typically, a course of douching includes 5-7 procedures, carried out some time after the end of menstrual bleeding. You should consult your doctor about the features of this method of therapy and its duration.

Herbal medicine is an effective auxiliary method for correcting pathology, however, it cannot be used in isolation from other therapeutic methods.

Shilajit: a mysterious but effective remedy

Cervical erosion responds well to treatment using douching with a solution, for the preparation of which mumiyo is used. After the procedure, a cotton swab is soaked in the same medicinal solution and placed in the vagina overnight. Shilajit can be used to treat erosion for a course of up to two weeks.

Types of cervical excision and technique

The listed home methods of therapy do not eliminate the causes of the pathology, they correct the symptoms, and treatment with folk remedies is therefore auxiliary and cannot be the main one.

Some products that were widely used in the past, such as “onion” tampons, are not recommended for use - they can harm a woman’s health. Doctors categorically do not recommend treating cervical erosion with onions.

Below we briefly discuss the causes and methods of diagnosis, as well as the methods of treating cervical erosion, which are used in the complex therapeutic correction of this pathology.

Effective folk methods

Traditional medicine provides many methods to help cure the disease. Let's look at the most famous and effective of them.

Uses of aloe

The disease is effectively treated using tampons with aloe. To prepare medicinal tampons, you need to cut the leaves of the plant and keep them in the refrigerator for 2 weeks. After the leaves are peeled, the resulting pulp is wrapped in soft cloth. It is not recommended to use a bandage to form tampons, as it can scratch the mucous membrane.

The tampon is inserted every other day at night. Duration of treatment – 3 procedures. After the therapy, you need to be examined by a doctor.

Attention! Treatment of erosion with aloe tampons is not recommended for women over 40 years of age.

Application of sea buckthorn oil

To cure the disease, tampons are made: take a wide bandage about 20 cm long. Place a piece of cotton wool in the middle and tie it with a knot. The tampon is soaked in oil and then inserted into the cervix. The tip of the tampon should stick out.

The procedures are carried out before bedtime, leaving the tampon on overnight. The average duration of therapy is 2 weeks. In order not to smear the bedding with the product, it is recommended to use pads.

Sea buckthorn oil is characterized by antimicrobial as well as healing effects. It softens and restores microflora.

Using a bow

Onion is one of the most effective remedies for curing cervical pathology.

Making a tampon:

  • fold a wide bandage into two layers;
  • grate the onion onto a plate, after rinsing the utensils with boiling water;
  • Place the grated onion on a bandage and tie.

The treatment procedure is carried out at night. The duration of onion therapy is 6-8 procedures.

Treatment with calendula

This plant is characterized by anti-inflammatory as well as bactericidal effects. In addition, calendula effectively restores mucous membranes.

Usually, calendula tincture is prescribed to treat erosion. The latter can be found in pharmacy kiosks or prepared independently: 20 g of plant flowers are infused for a week in 100 g of vodka.

One of the options for treating the disease is douching with a healing tincture. Therapy is carried out for 10 days. Before carrying out the procedure, 1 teaspoon of tincture must be diluted in a glass of liquid.

It is also effective to douche with an infusion of the plant. To prepare the infusion, you need to brew 2 teaspoons of flowers in 400 ml of boiling water. Leave to infuse for an hour and then strain. The duration of such treatment will be approximately a month.

In addition, you can recover from the disease with the help of calendula oil, in which tampons are soaked. To prepare the oil, pour 20 g of plant flowers into a glass of vegetable oil. Leave for 10 days for the product to infuse. After the expiration date, the medicine is filtered. Tampons soaked in oil are inserted before going to bed at night.

For the effectiveness of therapy, it is recommended to drink calendula infusion at the same time. The latter is prepared as follows: add 2 tbsp to 200 ml of boiling water. spoons of raw materials and leave to infuse. Use 2 tbsp. spoons. Number of doses: 4 times a day.

Using propolis

The treatment of erosion with propolis leaves positive reviews.

To cure erosions, propolis is used in the following forms:

  1. Pharmacy ointment. It is lubricated with tampons, which are inserted for 2 hours every evening.
  2. Propolis tincture with alcohol. Before use, the product should be diluted with liquid. A tampon is moistened in the resulting 3% tincture. Carry out the procedure at night for 2 weeks.

Propolis is characterized by a bactericidal effect and improves immunity.

Application of mumiyo

Erosion is also treated using tampons with mumiyo solution. To prepare the solution, you need to dissolve 2.5 g of raw material in 100 ml of water. The procedures are carried out at night.

The duration of therapy with mummy will be on average 14 days, after which you need to take a break for a week and repeat the course if necessary.

Chaga will help in the fight against erosion

Chaga should be cut into pieces, which are soaked in cold water. After 5 hours, grind the chaga in a meat grinder. Brew 1 tbsp. spoon of the resulting raw material in 200 ml of boiling water. Drink a third of a glass three times a day. It is recommended to take the medicine half an hour before meals.

Duration of therapy is a week.

In addition, it is effective to drink 30 g of chaga infusion three times a day. To prepare the latter, you should infuse 1 part of the raw material in 5 parts of liquid.

Etiopathogenesis and diagnosis of cervical erosion

More often, erosion does not produce pronounced clinical symptoms.
Inflammatory processes are considered to be the main cause of the formation of foci of erosion in the cervix. Cervicitis, which is accompanied by the secretion of exudate, provokes irritation of the epithelium of the cervical canal and its subsequent rejection. This is how a focus of erosion is formed.

Inflammation, in turn, can be caused by various pathogenic microorganisms, the elimination of which during treatment helps prevent the progression of erosive changes in the epithelium.

In addition to inflammation, the cause of pathology can be dishormonal conditions. Improvements in the condition of the cervix in patients with disrupted hormonal levels are recorded after its stabilization. Also, erosive lesions can form as a result of damage to the cervix during childbirth.

The pathological process is often asymptomatic and is diagnosed during a gynecological examination. To confirm the diagnosis, a colposcopy (simple and extended) and a biopsy for subsequent histological analysis are required. The scope of necessary diagnostic procedures is determined by the attending physician.
