Treatment of follicular ovarian cyst with folk remedies

The most common pathology that occurs among gynecological diseases is an ovarian cyst. According to statistics, every third woman has to deal with it. Most often, this anomaly occurs in girls during puberty, as well as women during menopause. The formation itself is often benign. However, if proper treatment is not started in a timely manner, it will grow in size, and it may also become malignant.
Most doctors recommend getting rid of such pathologies using drug therapy. However, you can also use certain folk remedies for this. The most popular and at the same time very effective medicine in folk medicine is considered to be the boron uterus. Many women use it, regardless of their age category.

Borovaya uterus and its effect on the woman’s body

In folk medicine, hogweed is traditionally considered a “female” herb. It consists of the following components:

  • Phytoestrogens. Analogues of female sex hormones have a beneficial effect on the reproductive system and contribute to its normal functioning;
  • Hydroquinone is an antioxidant with a pronounced diuretic and antiseptic effect;
  • Coumarins – have a diuretic effect, help destroy pathogenic bacteria;
  • Saponins are substances that normalize the secretion of mucous membranes (including the vagina);
  • Flavonoids are natural antioxidants that affect the activity of many enzymes in the human body;
  • Vitamins. Of particular importance is ascorbic acid (vitamin C) - a means of maintaining immunity.

The main components of ortilia lopsided.

The complex composition of the herb hogweed determines its multifaceted effect on the body and the possibility of use for various diseases of internal organs.

Expected effects:

  • Normalization of hormonal levels and restoration of the menstrual cycle;
  • Elimination of accompanying symptoms: nagging pain in the lower abdomen, discomfort in the groin area;
  • Reduction of inflammatory processes in the genital organs;
  • Activation of the body's defenses.

The entire above-ground part of the plant is used for medicinal purposes: leaves, flowers, stems. The procurement of raw materials is carried out from early spring to late autumn. The collected herbs are dried in a darkened room. An open veranda under a canopy is best suited for this. It is allowed to dry the plant in a closed but well-ventilated area.

Indications for the use of boron uterus in gynecology

Ortilia unilateral is not included in the Register of Medicines and cannot be considered as a full-fledged drug for the treatment of gynecological diseases. The instructions for use of boron uterus indicate that it can only be used as a dietary supplement to food. There have been no randomized studies to evaluate the effectiveness of herbal raw materials. There is no reliable data on how the boron uterus actually affects a woman’s body and whether there is any point in using it for ovarian cysts.

In modern gynecology, it is allowed to use decoctions and infusions of Ortilia unilateral in the complex therapy of some ovarian cysts:

  • Functional neoplasms: follicular and luteal cysts;
  • Endometrioid ovarian cysts.

In the complex treatment of functional and endometrioid cysts, the boron uterus can be used as an adjuvant.

With this pathology, the influence of the uterus on the woman’s hormonal background becomes key. It is assumed that phytoestrogens in the dietary supplement help normalize the production of one’s own hormones and the regression of ovarian cysts. Additional components have a beneficial effect on the overall tone of the body, have an anti-inflammatory effect and stimulate the immune system.

Options for using the boron uterus:

  • In complex conservative therapy of ovarian cysts together with hormonal and other medications;
  • At the stage of preparation for surgical treatment;
  • After surgery to restore hormonal levels and speed up rehabilitation processes.

It is important to know

Borovaya uterus cannot be used as the only medicine and cannot be a substitute for hormonal therapy or surgery.

Ortilia unilateral is not used when identifying the following pathology:

  • Dermoid cyst (mature teratoma);
  • Serous cyst (cystadenoma);
  • Paraovarian cyst.

Borovaya uterus is not used in the treatment of organic ovarian cysts. They only require surgical removal.

A woman’s hormonal background does not affect the development of this pathology, so there is no point in using herbal remedies. Ortilia unilateral is not used when true ovarian tumors are identified. In all these situations, treatment is only surgical.

In gynecology, the use of boron uterus is also allowed for other diseases:

  • Inflammatory processes of the pelvic organs: endometritis, salpingoophoritis;
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS);
  • Endometriosis of any location;
  • Uterine fibroids;
  • Hyperplastic process of the endometrium;
  • Endocrine infertility.

Borovaya uterus can be recommended when planning pregnancy, including after undergoing pelvic surgery or upon completion of a course of hormonal therapy. Herbal supplements stimulate the immune system, stabilize the menstrual cycle and increase the chances of successfully conceiving a child.

Assessing the effectiveness of the drug: doctors’ opinion

It is not known for certain whether the boron uterus really helps in the treatment of ovarian diseases (including in identifying cysts and polycystic disease). Reviews from women who have taken herbal supplements are mostly positive, but there are a few nuances:

  • Borovaya uterus can be prescribed if a corpus luteum cyst or follicular formation is detected. But these cysts are considered functional and can regress spontaneously within 1-3 cycles. It is not known whether the hog uterus really helps get rid of the formation or whether the lesion could resolve on its own and without the use of herbal remedies;
  • Ortilia lopsided relieves some symptoms of the disease. It helps restore the menstrual cycle and helps eliminate the accompanying inflammatory process. But the absence of symptoms does not mean that the cyst has resolved and further treatment is not required;
  • Women who take boron uterus often do not see a doctor or undergo examination, so it is impossible to assess the effectiveness of herbal medicine. It is possible to find out whether the formation has regressed only with the help of ultrasound.

The dynamics of the tumor can only be assessed by ultrasound.

On a note

Since no reliable studies have been conducted, it is impossible to say unambiguously how the uterus affects the growth of ovarian cysts. Most gynecologists are inclined to believe that herbal supplements do not lead to regression of the lesion and are not able to get rid of the disease. The effect of using boron uterus is similar to placebo. Herbal remedies cannot treat serious diseases and should not be used as monotherapy.

Cyst - what is it and the reasons for its development

In the photo - the plant "Harborum uterus"
Any cyst is a pathological formation with thin walls, inside of which there is a jelly-like substance. Depending on the cause and location of the cyst, they are divided into several types:

  • Follicular cyst - is formed if a mature egg for some reason cannot leave the follicle located in the ovary. As a result, fluid accumulates in the unopened follicle and it increases in size.
  • Corpus luteum cyst is quite rarely diagnosed. It occurs as a result of the accumulation of cells that secrete progesterone and estrogen (sex hormone) at the site where the egg is released. Subsequently, the formation resolves, but if a hormonal imbalance occurs, a cyst may form.
  • Paraovarian cyst - arises from the appendage located above the ovary. It is a homogeneous neoplasm filled with transparent liquid. The walls of this formation have many blood vessels.
  • A dermoid cyst is a benign tumor filled with fluid along with mucus, sebaceous glands and even hair. Some cysts can grow to quite large sizes.
  • Endometrioid cyst - formed as a result of the proliferation of uterine tissue in the ovaries, vagina, intestines and even the abdominal cavity. With an endometrioid cyst, women become infertile. In addition, this disease is dangerous because the neoplasm is most often filled with blood and leads to various inflammatory processes.
  • A Bartholin gland cyst is an accumulation of secretions in the gland located at the vestibule of the vagina. Occurs due to blockage of the excretory duct. A Bartholin gland cyst causes a tumor to form at the base of the labia. A woman experiences constant discomfort when walking and having sexual intercourse.

Scheme for using the boron uterus

You can take boron uterus in two ways:

  • In the form of an infusion. Recommended for young women, including those planning pregnancy;
  • In the form of a tincture. It is prepared with alcohol, so it is not used in preparation for conceiving a child;
  • In the form of a decoction. Available in ready-made filter bags, it requires brewing with boiled water.

Scheme for preparing the infusion:

  1. Pour 1 tablespoon of dry plant into a glass of boiling water;
  2. Heat the broth in a water bath for 20 minutes;
  3. Let the broth brew in a warm and dark place for 2-3 hours.

Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day.

Scheme for preparing the tincture:

  1. Mix 50 g of crushed dry grass of the boron uterus with 500 ml of vodka;
  2. Let it brew in a dark place for 14 days.

Take 30 drops 3 times a day.

Ortilia one-sided is also available in filter bags for brewing. Scheme for preparing the decoction:

  1. Brew 1 packet with 200 ml of boiling water;
  2. Let it brew for 15 minutes.

Drink chilled 1/3 cup 3 times a day.

Proper use of boron uterus not only increases the chances of recovery, but also reduces the risk of side effects. You should drink the decoction, infusion and tincture during meals or immediately after meals. You should not take the medicine on an empty stomach - disturbances in the functioning of the digestive tract may occur.

The course of therapy with boron uterus lasts 3-4 weeks. The effect, according to reviews of the use of the drug, is achieved after 14 or more days. There is an improvement in the general condition and a decrease in the symptoms of the disease. Many women indicate that the menstrual cycle is restored and the nagging pain in the lower abdomen goes away.

To assess the size of the cyst, you need to do an ultrasound. Only after a control ultrasound examination will it be possible to judge the effectiveness of the therapy. If the cyst has not resolved, you need to reconsider the treatment regimen.

Traditional healers and herbalists recommend drinking boron uterus in courses - 2-3 weeks with a break of 2-3 months. For preventive purposes, you can take decoctions and infusions every six months.

In folk medicine, a decoction of boron uterus is suggested to be used not only internally, but also externally. Douching is practiced - the introduction of a herbal remedy into the vagina. For ovarian cysts, such a treatment regimen is not justified. The absorption of the solution is minimal, and beneficial substances do not penetrate the internal genital organs. Douching is indicated only for concomitant inflammatory processes in the vagina.

Douching does not relieve a woman of an ovarian cyst. This procedure helps treat inflammation in the vagina.

On a note

Don't get carried away with douching. Washing the vagina with various solutions disrupts the balance of microflora and leads to the development of dysbacteriosis.

Ovarian cysts can be treated not only with boron uterus, but also with other herbs. It is recommended to combine ortilia with a decoction of red brush, burdock root and other traditional “feminine” herbs.

Taking boron uterus can be combined with the use of hormonal drugs, anti-inflammatory drugs and other medications prescribed by a doctor. It is allowed to use herbal infusions in preparation for surgery, as well as during the rehabilitation stage after surgical treatment.

Contraindications and side effects of herbal medicine

Borovaya uterus is not prescribed when the following conditions are detected:

  • Organic ovarian cysts. Dermoid, paraovarian and serous cysts are treated only surgically;
  • True ovarian tumors. Conservative therapy for this pathology is not carried out;
  • Malignant neoplasms of the ovary. Do not waste time on dubious traditional medicine recipes. Treatment of carcinoma is only surgical. Refusal of the operation threatens the death of the patient;
  • Severe combined pathology. If uterine fibroids, endometriosis of various localizations, or other pathological processes are simultaneously detected, hormonal therapy or surgical treatment is indicated;
  • Complications of the cyst: rupture of the capsule, torsion of the pedicle, infection. In these situations, emergency surgery is performed;

The uterus will not help with torsion of the pedicle of an ovarian cyst.

  • Ovarian cyst during pregnancy. You should not experiment and get carried away with traditional medicine recipes when carrying a child - serious complications may develop.

General contraindications:

  • The patient's age is under 16 years. It is unknown how the hog uterus affects the growing organism;
  • Pregnancy. There is no data on the safety of the plant for the fetus;
  • Lactation period. It is unknown what effect the hog uterus can have on the condition of the baby;
  • Individual intolerance to the components of the drug;
  • Pathology of the digestive tract in the acute stage (including gastritis, duodenitis, colitis, peptic ulcer).

Side effects:

  • Uterine bleeding. Long-term use of boron uterus and exceeding the dosage of the herbal remedy leads to the appearance of bloody discharge from the genital tract;
  • Exacerbation of diseases of the digestive tract. The development of pathology is indicated by the appearance of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and abnormal bowel movements;
  • Allergic reactions in the form of skin rash (urticaria).

One of the side effects from using boron uterus can be an allergic reaction (of varying degrees of severity).

If unwanted side effects occur, you should immediately stop taking boron uterus and consult a doctor.

General recommendations for the treatment of ovarian cysts

You can resort to a traditional method of treatment only if your gynecologist agrees with it. Decoctions, tinctures and home procedures are not a substitute for full diagnosis and hormonal therapy, especially if we are talking about a complex case, frequent relapses or a pregnant patient.

During treatment of a follicular cyst, you should avoid physical activity, sudden movements, jumping and bending. It is also recommended to abstain from active sexual activity. The main thing is to remember that the key to women’s health lies in regular preventive visits to the gynecologist. This is the only way to promptly detect and cure many dangerous diseases.

Features of the use of boron uterus for polycystic ovary syndrome

Therapy for polycystic ovary syndrome is aimed at restoring the menstrual cycle and stimulating ovulation. For this purpose, hormonal drugs are prescribed. In addition to the main treatment, it is suggested to take decoctions and infusions of boron uterus. Alcohol tinctures for PCOS are not recommended if you are preparing for pregnancy.

The scheme for using decoctions and infusions does not differ from that for ovarian cysts. In some cases, the course of therapy can be extended to 6 weeks (if well tolerated). Treatment can be carried out in short courses of 2-3 weeks up to 4 times a year with breaks of 3 months. Ultrasonic monitoring of the condition of the ovaries remains mandatory.

Reviews from women who took boron uterus for PCOS are contradictory. Against the background of herbal medicine, there is some improvement in the general condition. In some patients, the menstrual cycle is restored, but no significant dynamics are observed. The uterus is not able to independently cope with such a serious disease as polycystic ovary syndrome. To trigger ovulation and successfully conceive a child, the use of hormonal drugs is required.
